Mobile app testing should be done to address the issues of quality, performance, security, and usability.

Mobile App Testing Methodology:

  • Functional Testing: It checks whether the app is performing according to the functional requirements or not. This type of testing involves black box testing and is usually done manually.

  • Usability Testing: It checks whether the app is user-friendly or not. In other words, it checks the ease of use of the application.

  • Interface Testing: It tests all types of interfaces in an application such as GUI (Graphical User Interface), API (Application Programming Interface) etc.

  • Compatibility Testing: It test whether the app works fine on different devices like mobiles, tablets etc having different screen sizes and resolutions with varied Operating Systems (OS).

  • Performance Testing: This type of testing checks how well the mobile application performs under certain conditions such as low battery, bad network coverage, low available memory etc.
